How to block adult websites on your phone and PC

Updated

Understand Dando’s optional adult-site blocking, its relationship to gambling protection and the limits of domain filters.

At a glance
  • Adult-site blocking is an optional add-on.
  • It is separate from a gambling classification.
  • No domain list can filter every image, post or app.

Enable the option for your account

Review your plan and turn on the adult-site option if you want it. On supported devices, protection uses public adult-domain lists and additional site classifications. Availability follows the current platform release status.

Understand what a domain filter can do

Domain blocking targets websites rather than each individual item inside a shared service. It cannot guarantee that every adult image or post is filtered. Device restrictions and an age-appropriate conversation may provide additional support.

If an ordinary site is blocked by mistake, use Dando support to report it instead of disabling all protection.
